Keenan House
Exterior view of German Romanesque revival brick house built in 1857 with a Second Empire-style mansard roof added in 1870, 28 East Gilman Street in the Mansion Hill neighborhood. Designed by August Kutzbock for Napoleon Bonaparte Van Slyke who never lived there. Dr. George Keenan, a prominent Madison physician and United States consul to Kiel and Bremen, Germany, and his wife, Mary, lived in the house from 1900 to 1916. |
