ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Mr. Wright originally designed this home for a contest conducted by Look Magazine in 1938. It was built for Bernard & Fern Schwartz in 1939 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Two Rivers is a vacation community of 13,000 people located on Lake Michigan about 95 miles north of Milwaukee. The home is situated on a large lot on the East Twin River, which flows to Lake Michigan; a great location for a first or second home. This Usonian home has 3,000 square feet with four bedrooms and 2½ baths. The large foyer opens to the great room, which boasts a large fireplace and is surrounded by glass windows. The master bedroom and master bath are on the first floor. An outside door leads to a courtyard with an outdoor fireplace, while the remaining bedrooms are on the second floor, each with their own outside balcony. They all open to the upper hallway which is a balcony overlooking the interior of the home. The present owner purchased the home from the Schwartz family in 1970.
