Visitors to the Iron Ridge Mine

Visitors, dressed in their Sunday best, contrast with the rough garb of the miners. Left to right, miners were: Charles Kanass, Robert "Beaver" Smith (holding the mule), John Smith (his brother), and Charley Klick. The man sitting directly over the mine entrance was Steve Hayes. The man in the dark business vest and white shirt (at extreme right), standing atop the entrance, was James Cundy, mine superintendent. The other men, women and children have not been identified. |
