Louis P. Harvey was born in East Haddam, Connecticut on July 22, 1820. He served as a Republican delegate to the Wisconsin State Constitutional Convention in 1847, as a member of the Wisconsin State Senate from 1854-58, as Secretary of State of Wisconsin from 1860-62, and as Governor of Wisconsin in 1862. Harvey died in office in 1862. |
