St. Benedict's Convent on Lake Mendota

Aerial view of St. Benedict's convent, mother house, novitiate on the north shore of Lake Mendota (aka Fox Bluff), built in 1953. From 1959 - 1966 it was also a college prep high school for girls. The building was expanded in 1960. The facility became the St. Benedict Conference Center until 2004. In 2006 it ended its ties to the Roman Catholic Church and is now called Holy Wisdom Monastery. |
