6th Ward / Marquette School

Exterior of the 6th Ward School at 1237 Williamson Street. The building was designed by the Madison firm of Conover and Porter, and featured five turrets, the tallest of which stood nine stories above the ground. It was finished with Ashland brown stone and cream brick. Later renamed Marquette School. Torn down ca. 1950.
