Rubber Worker at Gillette
Victor Marten, a worker at the Gillette factory owned by the United States Rubber Company, feeding rubber into a Banbury mixer. During World War II the government purchased the plant after which it produced ordnance for the war effort. This photograph was taken after the plant reconverted to tire production in 1944. |
