Lorraine Gray, and her younger brother Frank are reading an RMR "help wanted" advertisement in the "Wisconsin State Journal." The RMR (Ruben-Mallory-Ray-O-Vac) plant, a division of Ray-O-Vac was located in the 1400 block of East Washington Avenue. The plant manufactured batteries for walkie-talkies used for the military during World War II. |
