Main Street Office Building
View from street towards a Main Street office building. "Here is the historic Port Washington building which once housed the law firm of Pierce & Stanford and now is the property of Mrs. Marcie Hornslein, owner of the Mayer hotel. Situated at 113-115 E. Main Street, the brick structure, until three years ago when he died, housed the offices of another local attorney, the late Frank X. Didier. It was from 1848 to 1852 that Leland Stanford practiced law there." |
