Zona Gale House

View from the Wisconsin River of the house at 506 W. Edgewater Street, built by Zona Gale in 1906 for her parents after the successful publication of her first novel, Romance Island. Its classical Greek Revival exterior is in contrast to its rustic Craftsman interior. The home was donated to the Women's Civic League in 1932 and was accepted in 1980 for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. |
