Mitchell-Rountree House

A view of the Mitchell-Rountree house. Built in 1837 for the Rev. Samueal Mitchell under the direction of his daughter's husband, Major John H. roundtree, this house is almost completely unaltered. It is a red brick, two-story Georgian building with a fireplace in every room. A charming house, it is "refined in detail, good in mass, and very quaint." |
