Edmund Andrews, Surgeon

Vignetted carte-de-visite portrait of Edmund Andrews (1824-1904), Vermont-born surgeon. Andrews served as Professor of Comparative Anatomy at the University of Michigan, and later at Rush Medical College in Chicago. He later helped found the Chicago Medical College and served as President of the Illinois State Medical Society. Handwritten inscription at the bottom reads, "Andrews, 1869." |
