Owen Lattimore Speaks
Owen D. Lattimore speaking to an audience. Although the photograph is not identified, it was undoubtedly taken at an appearance at the University Union Theatre. Lattimore, a Far East expert and former State Department adviser, had been widely attacked by Senator Joseph R. McCarthy as a Soviet agent, and his appearance on the University campus had been attacked by some. |
