Jerry Moreland tests a front drive joint assembly in a freezing cabinet at the International Harvester truck engineering department. The original caption reads: "The substance Jerry Moreland is dipping from the beaker is kerosene, which has been taken from the freezing cabinet in which a front drive joint assembly is being tested in a temperature of 60 degrees below zero. The Harvester truck engineering department at Fort Wayne also has a heat cabinet in which operational tests are made in temperatures up to 400 degrees above zero." |
