Private Airplane Crash

View of small private plane which crashed into a 30-foot open space narrowly missing the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Vick at 102 Lansing Street and an adjacent home. Two World War II veteran brothers-in-law, David E. Hill and Robert L. Horstmeyer, were pinned in the cockpit. David Hill, the pilot, was killed and his brother-in-law was seriously injured. Looking at the wreckage is Connie Elver, 14, of 104 Lansing Street, whose bedroom was nearly struck by the nose-diving airplane. |
