Home of University President and Family
View of the University President's home at 130 North Prospect Avenue. This illustration was taken from a Christmas card prepared for Conrad A. Constance W. Elvehjem. He served as the thirteenth president of the University of Wisconsin between 1959-1961. The residence was built for Madison attorney John M. Olin and his wife Helen in 1911. It was bequeathed to the University in 1924 and was subsequently used (until about 1970) to house the University president and his family. A group of carolers are on the sidewalk. Caption reads: "130 North Prospect". |
