Reiner House
Reiner house on the 600 block of Williamson Street, built in 1851 by John J. Reiner with red brick from "Vet" Williams of Madison. John J. Reiner, who came from Germany to Madison in 1841, married a Swiss woman and was the father-in-law of Chief Heyl of the Madison Fire Department. Reiner formerly lived in a log cabin in the center of the same block, and built this brick house in a somewhat "Dutch" style. |
