From the cover of a descriptive brochure in the Historical Society's Library pamphlet collection, this drawing depicts the large hotel grounds on Lake Monona. Located in Blooming Grove Township, just outside Madison, the hotel was opened in 1879 as Tonyawatha House and was destroyed by fire on July 31, 1895. |
