Little Rock Integration Crisis

Mob violence during the integration crisis in Little Rock. Probably taken between September 20th, when Governor Faubus withdrew the National Guard and September 25, when President Eisenhower federalized the Arkansas Guard. The Little Rock police, who had been left to control the crowd during this period, had been challenged by the angry crowd, and here they are leading some of the crowd to the police van. |
