Pencil on paper; wood clapboard house behind fallen fence with open gate. Three trees, small outbuilding with one-sided roof, a large tub and other equipment are strewn around yard with picket fence on far side. House with added shed roof at back has one high window, three side windows, and one front window beside door. Roof has ladder to chimney, and below, rain gutter across porch and spout to water barrel. The porch is walled at far end, with an empty chair at the other. A loosely planked road runs along the fence. Title, illegible, below image. Dated, bottom right corner.
