Leitch-Hobson House

The Leitch-Hobson house, 752 East Gorham Street, in the English Gothic revival style. Mayor Leitch, the first owner, was the son of an Edinburgh, Scotland manufacturer, and came from New York to Madison in 1858. The house resembles the Pickering house in Salem, Massachusetts, and cost $14,000. It was owned in 1957 by Professor Asher Hobson. The architect and workmen were from New York. |
