Leroy L. Dalton Receiving Navy Air Medal Award

Leroy L. Dalton,(in a hosptial bed at left,)shown receiving the United States Navy Air Medal for meritious achievement during his fifth mission as a gunner or bomber during action in the Pacific in 1944. Awarding the medal are left to right: Lieut. Commander Raymond J. McCue, Lieut. Commander G. L. Block, and John Jamieson, public relations officier of the Madison naval reserve. Mr. Dalton was discharged from the navy March 3, 1948, and was enrolled at the University of Wisconsin when he contracted tuberculosis. He is a patient at the Lake View sanatorium. |
