Four-Wheel Drive Scout Convertible

A man and a woman are sitting in a four-wheel drive, open-top International Harvester Scout. The text on the side of the truck reads: "Kurt King." The attached press release reads: "The new all-purpose Scout, an International Harvester Company product, can be converted to an open runabout by easy removal of its steel passenger-compartment top. Also removable are the Scout's door glass and doors. Its front windshield folds down. The low-cost Scout has a five-foot-long integral pickup body with extended wheel housings which can serve as additional seating. It is available in a two-wheel drive model and a four-wheel drive model (above). Power for both models is provided by a new International Comanche four-cylinder engine rated at approximately 90 horsepower. Wheelbase and overall length for both are 100 inches and 12 feet, ten inches, respectively. Scout suggested retail prices begin at $1598, plus federal and local taxes, FOB, Fort Wayne, Ind." |
