Perini, a Boston construction magnate, bought part ownership of the Boston Braves in 1946 and acquired full ownership with his brothers Charles and Joseph in 1951. Under Perini's ownership, the Braves moved to Milwaukee in 1953. Perini's construction firm built a large part of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Construction on the Seaway began in 1954, and it was completed in 1959. See also Image ID: 49327. |
