Navy recruiters of the Madison sub-station are presented a banner and certificate of merit for leading the Chicago area district in number of enlistments for the first quarter of the year. Pictured left to right are: Chief E.D. Gormel, Iron Mountain, Michigan; Chief A.J. Ihde, Wisconsin Dells; Chief G.E. Zile, Madison, and Captain Jack E. Hurff, senior naval officer in the Madison area and commandant of the University of Wisconsin NROTC, who presented the award. |
