Tractors at "100 Years in Chicago"
| International and Farmall tractors on display at International Harvester's "100 Years in Chicago" celebration at Soldier Field. The large IH logo is in the background. Original caption reads: "Display of International Harvester standard wheel tractors, for farm use, highlight this portion of the outdoor machine area at Harvester's "100 Years of Chicago" exhibition at the south end of Soldier Field. In background is the IH emblem, a display of motor trucks, and a fountain around which are grouped a 'fleet' of Farmall Club tractors. A total of 275 tractors and farm machines, industrial tractors and engines and motor trucks, valued at $500,000, is included in the outdoor area. The '100 Years' exhibition also includes a Chicago street of 1847, three educational and historical tents, an administration tent, and a huge entertainment tent seating 6,000, in which lectures, demonstrations, and variety shows are presented." |
