A man stands while operating a McCormick-Deering 10-20 industrial tractor and an International duplex grader to smooth a rural dirt road. The original caption reads: "Owned by Lee County, Illinois and operated by Fred Barnhizer, Polo, Ill. This outfit is covering a 30 mile rectangle, 10 miles long and 5 miles wide. The 30 mile round trip is usually made in one day and the other side of the road is gone over the following day. The road is kept in A-1 shape."
