Dedication of Drinking Fountain
Dedication of a drinking fountain at Central High School as a memorial to Pfc. James Hammond, son of Howard and Regina Hammond, 114 North Bassett Street. Hammond, was a 1943 graduate of Central High School. He was killed during the Battle of the Bulge and was posthumously awarded the silver star.
