Military Dance
Uniformed Corp. J.L. Slack, a former International Harvester Company employee, dances with a woman wearing a dress and high heeled shoes at Port Clinton. Other dancing couples are in the background. Corporal Slack likely belonged to the "Harvester Battalion", and may have been stationed at Camp Perry, Ohio for training. The original caption reads: "LIGHT MOMENTS FOR A CORPORAL. Corp. J.L. Slack, formerly of the Chicago (m.t.) branch, joins the throng at the Friday-night dance conducted by the Port Clinton Service Center." |
