University of Wisconsin Football Stars
Co-Captain Jim Martin, the All-American tackle at Notre Dame last fall, is relaxing at the home of Dr. Stuart McCormick just after he arrived in Madison. Martin is with two former Wisconsin football stars while awaiting dinner. They are Tom Bennett, left, and Joe Kelly, right. Martin was here to narrate the movies showing highlights of Notre Dame's 1949 football season, which was part of the program by the Edgewood Athletic Association. Bennett, former Badger end and Big 10 pole vault champion, now is assistant coach at Edgewood. Kelly played center at Wisconsin for three years and was famed for his rugged line backing. |
