Glendale Service Station

The 7575 North Port Washington Road station was built in 1966. The building itself, with its spirited architecture, bold colors, and soaring canopy, was bound to attract attention. Its distinctive canopy is rare today as many Phillips stations were closed, sold off, or drastically altered.

Platteville Service Station
2008
The brick building at 340 South Chestnut Street, was built around 1930. It resembled the house-with-canopy-type station commonly constructed throughout the state.
Pulaski Service Station
2008
Located at 159 Pulaski Street, this house-style station featuring a hip-roof canopy, was built in 1925 by Vincent Zielinski.
Osceola Service Station
2008
This Art Moderne service station located at 202 North Cascade Street was built in 1947. With its dramatically curved facade, it undoubtedly grabbed the attention of postwar motorists.
Madison — Severson's Service Station
2008
Located at 2089 Atwood Avenue, a former service station was successfully transformed into a diner — Monty's Blue Plate Diner.
Madison — Parman's Super Service Station
2008
Built by Clayton "Clayt" Parman in 1941, the service station at 3502 Monroe Street looks almost identical to when it opened more than sixty-five years ago.
Manawa Service Station
2008
This service station, located at 301 South Bridge Street, was built in Manawa during the late 1930s as new, more efficient station designs were constructed throughout the state.
