Madison Soap Box Derby, Wheels

Official 1950 Soap Box Derby wheels are now available to any boy wishing to enter the 12th annual Wisconsin State Journal-Capital garage event. Charles Whittlinger, manager of the Madison Firestone Service store, left, and Jack Robinson, manager of the Madison Goodrich store and Goodrich representative in the Madison area, have announced that derby entries may call at their stores to get wheels. For many years, the two companies have manufactured and distributed Soap Box Derby wheels at cost to Soap Box youngsters. The wheels, expertly designed and precision built, cost $10.95 per set including axles. |
