Cornerstone Laying for Trinity Lutheran Church

Speakers stand near the front of the partially finished new building during the cornerstone laying ceremony at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1904 Winnebago Street at First Street. At the speakers podium is Herman Ekern, president of the Lutheran Brotherhood. Officials in back of him, left to right, are: Alvin Nygaard, president of the Trinity congregation; Rev. J.N. Walstead, pastor emeritus at Trinity; Rev. Enoch Tetlie, president of the Madison circuit of the Evangelical Lutheran Church; Rev. Robert G. Borgwardt, pastor at Trinity; Governor Oscar Rennebohm; Rev. F.I. Schmidt, pastor at Bethel Lutheran Church; and City Councilman Herbert C. Schenk. |
