Token Creek Tavern

This view of the Token Creek Tavern (Field's Inn) was created from a tintype (circa 1870) by E.E. Lawrence. A crowd has gathered on the porch and balcony of the wooden structure. There is a horse-drawn wagon in front and a barn in the background. Marcus H. Wheeler, father of Ella Wheeler Wilcox, is on the upper balcony playing his violin. The sign on the hotel reads, "Fleishbein & Kelley." |
