Daniel's Furniture Truck

Daniel's Furniture Truck | Photograph | Wisconsin Historical Society
An International L-160 truck owned by the S.L. Daniel Furniture and Mattress Factory, Inc. parks in an alley near what appears to be a company warehouse. A driver backs the truck toward an opened loading door; the text on the side of the truck reads: "Daniel's Complete Furniture Service; Local & Long Distance Moving Agents; Continental Van Line." The original caption reads: "White and rich red are the striking colors that spotlight the new L-160 International furniture van shown as it makes deliveries in various parts of El Paso, Texas. The truck was recently purchased by the S.L. Daniel Furniture and Mattress Factory, Inc. It has a wheelbase of 195 inches. The body is 18 x 8 feet in size, outside dimensions. The concern was founded in 1911 by R.L. Daniels. It was purchased in 1947 by the present organization, of which Mr. M.J. Zimet is president; A.L. Cox, vice president, and H.E. Kramer, treasurer."
