Cottage Baking Company Truck with Metro Body
| A man drives an International LM-122 truck owned by the Cottage Baking Company past several houses on a residential street. The text on the truck reads: "Honey Kream Bread, 'At Your Door,' and Oven to You Since 1902." The original caption reads: "Ed C. Friedrichs, proprietor of the Cottage Baking Company of Hayward, California, is shown in accompanying illustrations at the wheel and also at the rear proudly viewing one of five new LM-122 Internationals with Metro bodies he has purchased. He also operates thirteen KB-3-M Internationals, all being used for door-to-door delivery and sales. The front of each truck serves as a counter, so to speak, and the rear for supplies. Mr. Friedrichs says his is the only customer door-to-door delivery bakery in the Bay area. He also has a large K-5 International transport truck. The Cottage Baking Company also operates two stores. It was established in 1902 by Mr. Friedrich's father." |
