The original caption reads: "Logging, sawing, and finishing 6 miles north on the Gun Flint Trail. Produced 10,000 feet on August 19, 1937. Tractor used to haul in logs. Other power used on sawmill. PD-40 used on planer and mill work, using 6 gallons of fuel in 8 hours. Hedstrom and his sons own this industry, all working together and thoroughly sold on McCormick-Deering power. Stated the tractor is getting bigger every day. Was skeptical at first and did not believe it was powerful enough to do the work but now is an enthusiastic booster." |
