Central International Gladiolus Show
Professor James H. Torrie, 37-D, University Houses, is pictured spraying his gladioli garden in preparation for the Central International Gladiolus Society show with the help of his two "assistants," his six-year-old son Douglas, seated behind him on the sprayer, and Edward Arnold, 2441 Norwood Place, a senior at Edgewood High School. Professor Torrie rents part of the gardens at the Edgewood campus on Monroe Street with two other gladioli enthusiasts, John J. Flad and Eltar Nielsen. |
