IBP Labor Strife
Iowa Beef Packers, later IBP, revolutionized the meat industry during the 1960s by introducing numerous innovations. The use of low wage workers led to considerable labor strife both at IBP and within the industry as a whole. This photograph shows IBP workers who were members of the United Packinghouse Workers of America Local 1135 on strike. |
