The original caption reads: "This automatic machine tool at the New Brighton shell plant of the International Harvester Company performs four different machining operations on the shell after the shell case is placed on the machine. The machine cycle is completely automatic, the operator only placing the shell in the proper position and removing it after the machine is stopped automatically at the end of the cycle. All four tools are equipped with a micrometer adjustment and are guided by a form cam for each tool." |
