Madison East vs. Madison West Football Game

Pictured is the play that started Madison East High School on the way to its victory over previously-undefeated Madison West High School in their Big-Eight and intra-city high school football game. Ronnie Schara (#40), East, is shown carrying the ball for the final yard of the first touchdown. He is being tackled from the left by Jim Class (#30). Dick Falch (#52), East, is shown to Schara's left and Bill Mansfield (#4?), West, is coming up to meet the play. Glenn Barry (#44), West, is on the ground to the left of Class and Dale Pollock (#27), East, may be seen on his knees below Mansfield's arms. |
