Whistling Past the Graveyard after Dark
Cartoon drawn by Clare V. "Dwig" Dwiggins depicting a youthful August Derleth walking by a graveyard that is haunted by ghosts and spirits. Derleth was fond of the literature of the macabre and as an adult wrote many stories and novels in that genre. This drawing appeared in Derleth's book of poetry, "A Boy's Way." |
