Nakoma School Play

Nakoma School third grade children performing a folk dance as part of a class play, "Democracy for Boys and Girls." The children were assigned to find out where their ancestors came from and what they brought with them to America. Taking part were, left to right Phillip Goedz, representing Czechoslovakia; Ruth Rauschenberger, Miss America; Alison Keight, Scotland; Barbara Wedell, Norway; David Hofsteen, Holland; and Jerry Morrison, Jr., Italy. In the background are puppets which the children made and dressed in international costume. |
