'Little Badger' Boxers
Instructor Verne Woodward (right), assistant boxing coach at the University of Wisconsin, instructs a group of small boys wearing boxing gloves on how to direct a punch at a punching bag. The classes were conducted at the Eagles Club Gym on Saturday mornings from December through Februrary since 1936. The boys, age six through fifteen, were divided into three age groups. From left, the boys are: Luke Lamboley, Jack Sweeney and John Yost. Other boys are watching from the background. |
