Men Unloading Pane of Glass from International C-300 Truck

Two men unloading a pane of glass from an International C-300 truck with special streamlined body designed for transporting large panes of plate glass without lifting over the rear wheels. The glass was for a Firestone auto supply and service station under construction. The truck was owned by W.P. Fuller & Co. The wheelbase of the truck was extended to 184.5 inches so as to allow for a carrying rack approximately 11 feet long, 8 feet high, and 14 inched deep on each side of the truck. The rear six feet of space within the body was fitted with cushioned seats for workmen. The over-all length was 24 feet, with a height of 10.5 feet. |
