New York Times, June 4, 1919. "A new French singer made her American debut in the early hours of yesterday morning on the roof of the Century Theatre, in the person of Suzanne Caubet, who is credited with being a protege of Sarah Bernhardt. Miss Caubet has the distinct advantage of being a striking brunette and displayed in addition qualities which promise to make her popular in the musical comedy field if she chooses to develop her talents in that direction. Her program on Monday night consisted of one song in French and two in a highly accented English, and at their conclusion she was wildly applauded by the audience." |
