Risley Brothers Building
Five women look at a window display at the Schweke Brothers Store, 129 Third Street, which occupied the 1910 Risley Brothers Building. A man sits in the driver's seat in one of three automobiles parked in front. Women's and men's clothing is displayed in the street level windows; pottery vases, pitchers and cookie jars line the second floor window sill. The brick building has a three-story iron front framed by terra cotta. Near the door is a war bonds poster, "Fire Away! Buy Extra Bonds" designed by Georges Schreiber and issued in 1944. |
