Captain John Henry Otto, (marked with X), along with another man from the 21st Wisconsin Infantry, posing on the top of Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. John Henry Otto was from Appleton, Wisconsin and enlisted in Company D, 21st Wisconsin Infantry, as a sergeant on August 12, 1862. On April 27, 1865 he was promoted to the rank of captain. John Otto was mustered out of service on June 8, 1865. |
