Red Cross Peacetime Activities
The work of the Red Cross in peacetime is less well publicized than its services during wartime. Their blood bank program is considered one of the most outstanding. Pictured is Patricia Benson, a Red Cross staff nurse, shown taking the blood pressure of one of the many donors, Dore Srinivasacher of Bangalore, India, a Ph.D student at the University of Wisconsin. |
