Akron Works Office Employees

Office workers at International Harvester's Akron Works. The works originally belonged to the Aultman & Miller Buckeye Company until it was bought out by IHC in 1905. Retooled and modernized in 1907, the works unfortunately burned and was rebuilt in 1912. Occupying 11.5 land acres, the works closed in 1919 when truck manufacturing was moved to Springfield Works. Products manufactured: harvesters (Buckeyes, until 1906 or so), auto wagons, commercial cars, motor truck parts, tractors (until 1911). |
